Responsibilities:

  • The director will develop and execute marketing strategies and plans for company brands to aggressively drive conversion, revenue, and profitability across the spectrum of online marketing channels.
  • Spearhead growth on all brands using the following marketing channels: Promotions, PPC/SEM, Affiliates, SEO, SMO
  • Grow the Promotions, PPC/SEM, Affiliate, and SEO teams

Requirements:

  • 5 – 7 years of direct marketing experience or managing e-commerce marketing for an internet or hybrid retailer with a mix of strategic thinking, disciplined creative passion, and a willingness to be hands-on
  • High analytical horsepower to drive strategic interpretation of marketing activities and successfully develop recommendations.
  • Management experience leading small teams of managers against online performance-based media objectives and executing marketing campaigns that are part of multi-pronged marketing strategy that crosses teams and organizations.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, relationship skills and the ability to build rapport with vendors in technology, marketing and emerging platforms. Existing relationships with digital agencies, portals, ad networks, and other large publishers is a big plus.
  • Knowledge of key performance metrics, current knowledge of behavioral and demographic targeting research and ROI-driven optimization techniques. Decision-making comfort in an environment where objective and subjective measure of success both carry weight is an additional plus.
  • Exceptional English oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to get work completed is a key success factor.
  • Ability to multitask, handle pressure and meet deadlines in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment without a lot of direction or oversight.
  • Advanced computer skills are required including MS Office Suite and the ability to learn and utilize internal applications. Expert knowledge of media research tools such as Nielsen NetRatings, Google Adplanner and web analytics tools such as Coremetrics or Google Analytics.
